I am trying to shutdown the BQ25672EVM. No input power, USB not connected, 4S battery, 100 ohm load (147 mA), S1 not pushed, SDRV is connected, BAT to BATTERY bypass is open. I am using USB2ANY and the TI Charger GUI to set the shutdown bits in SDRV Control. As soon as the register is written, it switches back to IDEL and the battery is never disconnected. It acts as if VIN is present but it is not.
With a logic analyzer I can see the register write and 5 milliseconds later a register read confirms the shutdown bit is cleared. Any ideas?
