Hi Group,

SLUA625 details LED Driver Based on UCC28060 Interleaved ACDC Single Stage Flyback.

My application is low power (25W) but limits the transformer width to 19mm. Using an interleaved flyback design offers the advantage of using two narrow 15W transformers.

Noting the design is from 2011 is SLUA625 still recommended as a viable solution?

Hi Stuart,

The UCC28060 is an older PFC controller, but the application note it still valid. More modern PFCs, such as the UCC28064A can be designed very similarly as an interleaved, single-stage flyback. Also for further info, there is a reference design of an interleaved single-stage flyback design for the UCC28063A which is the direct predecessor to the UCC28064A: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP10116
