UCC3895: VDD current overstress?

Hi Team,

My customer has probed UCC3895's VDD current as shown below, is there any possibility of overstress?

    Hi Charles,

    Thank you for the query on UCC3895.

    The current seems marginally higher at 7.32mA than the operating current but still it is lesser than the abs. max rating of the device. So it might be slightly overstressed but make sure the part is not getting heated.

    If your current is higher than expected the current could be loaded by VREF.  Also make sure you are not driving FETs directly with the outputs and are using drivers.  If you are not using drivers that could also be the place for excessive current.
