LMR70503: Power management

Part Number: LMR70503
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5155, LM5156

Hi Dear,

The customer wants to find a power supply.

The input is 12-15V, the output is positive and negative 10V, the output current can reach 3A, and the rectifier is built in.

The specific application is to use two identical chips on a board, One output is positive 10V, and the other output is negative 10V. The specific model used by the customer before is LT1766.

Please ask whether there is a corresponding model recommendation

  • Hello Anna,

    Thanks for promoting our products.

Our Boost converters cannot handle a feedback signal with an inverted phase, so it is not possible to generate negative output voltages.
Usually we propose using a Buck regulator for generating negative outputs.

What about using a flyback topology with a single controller and two windings on the output?

    Best regards,
    Harry

  • Hello Anna,

For a single flyback converter with a transformer with two output windings, please have a look at the LM5155 / LM5156.

For two separate (identical) Buck controllers (one for +12V to +10V, one for +12V to -12V), may I please ask you to open another thread with a part-number of a BUCK controller, so that it will get routed to the appropriate experts.

    Thanks and regards,
    Harry
