Hi Team,
Customer is consulting whether our device can sustain 500V voltage stress between N line and chassis(PE) for safety test? Many thanks.

Hi Stanley,
Shouldn't be a problem - see 5kV surge test waveforms in the datasheet and EVM user's guide. The sense and inject caps provide high-voltage separation. Also, the SENSE pins have integrated clamping, and INJ is clamped by an external TVS (as the inject cap is higher value and couples more current for a given dv/dt).

Hi Tim,
Thanks for helps. One further question is, does our device sustain 1500V voltage stress over 1mins here?

Stanley
Hi Stanley,
It's the Y-rated sense and inject capacitors that sustain this stress voltage, not the IC. You can check the capacitor ratings for this.

Tim
