TPS1653: Long Term Accuracy of IMON

Part Number: TPS1653

Hi,

I am evaluating the TPS16530 and am looking for information on long term accuracy and stability of IMON. Additionally wondering if there are any calibration requirements for this output.

Thanks,

Zak

  • Hi Zak,

    Welcome to E2E

Do you mean how does the accuracy and stability of IMON over time?

What is your application use case and end product? Why IMON is critical?

    Best regards

    Rakesh

  • Hi Rakesh,

Yes, I am looking to understand accuracy and stability of IMON over time.

We are evaluating if we can use IMON as a convenient way to report current on specific lines in a test and measurement application. Since this would be a test and measurement application, we would need to identify any calibration requirements for sensors in our system. Using this feature to report current would most likely require us to identify this component as a calibrated item.

    Thanks,

    Zak

  • Understood.

Let me check and get back to you

  • Hi Zak,

We do HTOL qual on our device which is keeping device on for 1000hrs at around 125C . This qual speeds aging and takes account into aging for 10years approx. So datasheet limits for IMON gain are after considering aging factor.
