LM5145: Selection recommendation

Hi Dear,

Our customer's primary power supply uses LM5145, but the space on the board is limited, so we want to find a component with smaller package. The input supports 24V to 55V, and the output is 12V 16.5A.

Which model can We recommend?

Hi,

Looking through the TI power management parametric search, the LM5145 is currently the smallest IC controller that will fit customer application.

However, if they customer has other output rails that is also using a controller, perhaps they can look into the LM5143 which is a 65V dual output synchronous buck DC/DC controller which is in a 6mm x 6mm IC package.

Hi Jimmy,

The customer's application is E-BIKE.

The battery pack is input from 24V to 55V, but there are hot-swappable cases. We recommend LM5069 ,but the PCB area is limited, do you recommend hot-swappable controllers with smaller packages

Hi Anna,

Please create another E2E thread for the LM5069 hotswap controller and an appropriate engineer would reply within 24 hours.

This thread is for the DC/DC power supply which can be either LM5143 or LM5145.

The input power protection end can be either E-fuse or hotswap controller whichever the customer is interested in.
