SSR TIDA-050063: Enquiry on the technical capability

I am expecting from TI to get response for some of our queries which are mentioned below.

 

  1. Is TIDA-050063 capable to connect with battery BMS and CAN system?
  2. It would have been helpful for our design if you could share the exact dimension of TIDA-050063 board.
  3. Is TIDA -050063 customizable? Is there any possibility to conserve the capacitor stored energy by giving it back to battery instead of wasting it through active or passive discharging method.
  4. Is the pre-charging time fixed or variable as per design.(Factory set value or specific value which can be set by the user)

    Apologize for the delay on this. Please see responses below:

    1) I suppose this depends on how you are intending to bridge the two. Do you have a schematic/drawing of this proposal?

    2) Dimensions of the board are 107mm by 73mm.

    3) This is simply a reference design that you may modify to your exact specifications. This serves as a foundation on which you can tailor your solution to or use it as is if it meets your needs. With that said, it is important that there is some type of discharge path available in order to safely de-energize this capacitor and make it safe for the end user to use without the risk of getting shocked.

    4) The pre-charge timing is set for this design to be 400ms. You can adjust the resistor in series with the DC link capacitor to adjust to your specifications (you can read through the design guide that also help showcase how to calculate your charging time based on your resistor choice).
