Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987D
My customer is asking some questions about USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM as follows.
[Question1]
They wrote setting for Source Board of USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM with TPS6598x Application Customization Tool (Ver.6.1.3), but when they checked it in Debug Mode:
- Even if it shows "Disconnected", the register value cannot be read(it shows "Uninitialized").
- It frequently becomes "Disconnected", especially after accessing Transmit Source Capabilities.
Is there a solution to this problem?
[Question2]
They wrote settings for Source Board of the USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM with the TPS6598x Application Customization Tool (Ver.6.1.3), and it showed "~~~ Successful." However, when they checked it in Debug Mode, the registered values were different. Are there any errors in the following procedure?
- Create a project file
- Set J202 pin to SRC
- Start power supply of USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM
- Connect micro-USB cable of USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM to a PC
- Launch the Tool and load the created project file
- Select Binary>Flash from current project
- Set USB to SPI Adapter to [FTDI], and click [Read Current Region Offsets] button
- Click [OK] to start writing
- After [~~~Successful] is displayed, disconnect the micro-USB cable and power supply
- Power on again
