USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM: Are there any softiscastet templates that work on TIDA-050014/USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM

We bought the USB_C_PD_DUO_EVM for testing a development object we produce. Well I don't undestand how to configure this thing and the information needed for that is not seemable bundled so I failed after 3 hours of researching to get some succes.

My goals:

I need a power sink, where I can switch between 5V,9,15 and 20V by pushing a button.

What I tried:

I loaded the TEMPLATE for the TIDA-050014 SINK-Board and tried fashing it into the device, but it doesn't work? By pressing any buttons it just doesn't do anything. I already did what the manual said(design guide of EVM) and put the little junction at snk. And then I tried updating the standard template into the board. It doesn't work. I only need the sink board for my testings... Well I really don't get how to configure the registers. There are too many informations and I think u need a whole semester to get fully into this.

My question is:

Does someone have a template that actually works and does what I am aiming for?

Hi Isaac,

The DUO EVM should already be configured to be a power sink out of the box with button functionalities. Unless you want to make specific changes to the configuration, there should be no need to configure the EVM. In GUI version 6.1.3, the default project for sink board can be flashed to bring the EVM back to its original state (no modification required to the registers).

What kind of source device is powering the EVM and can you provide a picture of your setup?

the EVM is powered thorugh the Micro-USB and through our self developed equiment. I've got to apologize, because I kinda of told a misleading information. The device was bought more then 1 year before, and someone did play on the configs... Well This doesn't matter, because I'm trying to flash the default config into the device. I only don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I also gotta say, that I used the configuration GUI version 6.1.3 and tryied flashing it as the manual says...

Good Morning Isaac,

Can you navigate to the "Adapter" tab, and select "Configure I2C/SPI Adapter Settings"? Ensure USB to I2C/SPI Adapter is "FTDI", then click "Sweep I2C address range for device response". Once the device responds, you'll see an I2C address populate. Then you should be able to flash the firmware.

Hello Conner,

I get following Error:

then if I flash after reading I2C-regions, if I choose flash from current project, it does erase and flash but fails to verify. Still after it's done, I I didn't have success, and I'm not getting expected Behaviour.
