BQ3050EVM-001: Calibration Method

Hello team,

I am calibrating as per attached setup. I just want to cross check , does my calibration method is right , in practical ?

DC power supply is used to provide supply (16VDC ) between 4P and 1N. and Cell resistor are of 270E. Multimeter is used to measure PACK+/- Voltage.

Temperature measurement Done using Multimeter temperature Sensor.

My main Concern here is , how to measure following Battery Voltage and pack Voltage , Difference ? :

Hello Bhupendra,

Make sure that the voltage supply is stable to within 1mV.

Enter the value measured at top of stack for battery voltage and Pack pin for pack voltage. You can apply voltages to these pin directly for calibration as well since both are performed independently

top of stack for battery voltage means Voltage Between Pack + and Pack - ?

Battery Voltage and pack Voltage are measure on same terminal ?

top of stack means the topmost cell. This is on the battery terminal.

Pack+ is the pack+ pin of the EVM

My goal is to measure following two parameter's to calibrate...

So, After connecting EVM to 2p4S battery pack , I am measuring Battery Voltage and pack voltage at this points for calibration , Is it correct ?

Okay,

So , the voltages I measured seems almost same. would it be so ?

1. Cell 1+2+3+4 = 13.98V

2. Battery Voltage = 13.97V

3. Pack Voltage = 13.98V

Yes, the voltages will be almost the same. You need to have a mV stable voltage for calibration.
