Hi TI Team,
Currently in one of our design, we are using UCD3138A64QPFCRQ1 which is now facing a huge shortage issue. In this case, can we replace this one with UCD3138128PFC in the same design. Is there any difficulty/risk other than AEC Qualification between the two. Kindly let me know your valuable feedback on this.

Hello Sabareesh,

The only difference between UCD3138A64 and UCD3138128 is the flash size. The A64 is 64KB, the 128 is 128KB. So the firmware needs conversion from A64 to 128.

If your firmware project is consolidate like TI demo codes, you can switch to 128 by changing the configurations in CCS.

If you'd like to see the details, this documentation(section 24, page 245) describes the conversion from A64 to 128.
