BQ25887: Use case with load directly on battery

Hi team,

Have you seen any designs with the BQ25887 where there is a load placed directly on the battery terminals. Similar to the diagram below. Is it possible for the part to operate correctly with this configuration? Can the battery be charged and load supplied at the same time?

    Hi Ben,

    This is not the intended operation, any system load on the battery will take away from the programmed charge current. Not to mention the full battery charging process will be impacted. The device will not be able to terminate at say 100 mA if there is a 200 mA system load. Lower charge current will also yield longer time to full battery.
