Hi team,
Could you please let me know the acceptable ripple level of VDD of TPS51206?
My customer worries about the ripple noise effect to VTT or VTTREF.
If the VDD doesn't meet the ripple requirement, what can happen?
Regards,
Itoh

Hi Itoh,
What is the VDD supply? Can we get the customers current ripple performance?
VDD ripple should not have an effect on VTT or VTTREF, the VTT output current is supplied by VLDOIN. There is also a minimum and maximum operating condition for the VDD supply of 3V1 to 6V5. If we are just talking about ripple then it should be fine, if there is additional excessive noise on the VDD supply it could cause issues depending on the magnitude.
Thanks,
Field
Hi Field-san,
Thank you for the response.
The VDD ripple level is within 5V+/-5%, coming from DC-DC buck converter.
Is this OK?

Itoh
Hi Itoh,
Yes, this ripple level should be fine. As mentioned earlier, the minimum recommended operating condition for VDD is 3V1, any additional excessive noise on the VDD supply could cause issues depending on the magnitude.
Thanks,
Field
