Hi Timothy,

In addition to relative thread, can you explain a bit about why LM5146's voltage mode control is inappropriate for 2-ph interleaving operation? LM5143's current control maybe engages in current sharing?

Customer wants to use LM5146 in parallel for 48V (36~62V) input to 12V output. LM5143 supports only upto 65Vin. They should go for LM5146.

Voltage mode control does not use inductor current information in the control loop, so accurate current sharing between the two phases is more difficult to ensure.

Current mode compensation is proportional to inductor current so even current sharing is easier to achieve.

You can use LM5149-Q1 or LM5148-Q1 which are capable of dual-phase designs.

Also LM5149-Q1EVM-400 is available and does 48V to 12V / 8A for single phase.

You can potentially tie two EVMs together and reconfigure them for dual-phase.
