UCC27524: UCC27524

Part Number: UCC27524

Hello TI Team

We are designing BMS of 48 volt System. In that design we are using UCC27524 Mosfet gate driver to control low side mosfet.

We are facing one issue in this part that is input voltage to the IC is ok but we are not getting output voltage.

Can you please tell what are the condition in which this case will occur. for your reference i have attached the image also i have mentioned the voltage on each pin what we are getting. Please check it.

For any information let me know.

Note :- Similar issue found in two three ICS

Thank You

  • Hello Mohit,

If VDD > UVLO, and IN & EN > Vth(around 1.9V), this driver should turn on the output. If it does not, the driver is likely damaged or broken. Another thing to check, is that the voltage on the output is referenced to GND or some other voltage? The driver pulls up by connecting the OUT rail to VDD via an internal FET, so strange things can happen if there is no proper current loop/circuit.

These loops need to exist for the driver to pull up or pulldown OUT. I have seen people making low-side battery disconnect switches that break in the ground in a way that stops the driver from working. I see that OUTB is referenced to PACK-, so I'm worried there is no loop.

If it is just a few units which don't work, they are likely damaged and we can investigate why. If all of them don't work, it is more likely this schematic issue.

    Thanks,

    Alex M.
