BQ25731: Input voltage is 15 volts from PD. But CHRG_OK is pulled low. What could cause this? no fault bits are set,

Part Number: BQ25731

do you need more info?

  • Hi John,

CHRG_OK is an open drain output. Did you measure the pull up voltage and pull up resistor normal? Is there any load connected to CHRG_OK? It looks like that the input voltage is in the normal range of 3.5V to 25.8V and there is no fault condition. The CHRG_OK should be high if all conditions above are valid.

    Eric

  • the issue was resolved by updating the charging voltage.

    It now charges the battery.

however the only adc report in the registers is the 15 volt input voltage.

    the other adcs report zero.

i have seen similar issues in similar parts reported but not resolved here. do the adcs work?

  • Hi John,

To read the ADC measurement, first step is to enable ADC by setting  ADC_START bit 14 (ADC_Option register 0x3A).
