BQ25883: BQ25883 can not charge

Hi

The customer design with BQ25883, They use two lithium batteries as the input of BAT, and USB type C as the input of VBUS.

When only use 18650, VSYS has normal output, and the I2C function is normal. VSYS has almost no output when only plugged into USB.

Trying to follow the charging settings in the BQ25883EVM manual also failed to charge via USB.

Please help check the schematic.

    Hi Star,

    A USB Type C port requires communication via the CC1/2 lines in order to provide 5V output voltage.  USB Type C does not use D+/D- for communication.  Your customer must add a communication chip that the host can use to turn on the USB Type C 5V output.
