Hi team, could you help me with this question. the max voltage of LM61460-Q1 is 42V and the feature part describe it support 42V load dump. can I ask how long the device can tolerate 42V? if input 42V for a long time, the device will broken or shut off? thanks.

Hi Alfie,

In LM61460 datasheet, the abs max voltage of Vin pin is 42V. This product can support 42V transients. It cannot withstand 42V voltage for a long time. I don't have data on the specific time. If the voltage exceeds 42V the chip will be damaged.

If the customer needs the input voltage to be greater than or equal to 42V for a long time. It is recommended to use LM25148/9 or TPS54561. Thanks.
