TPS50601A-SP: switching frequency

Hi,

I am using the Excel spreadsheet to select the components around the TPS50601AHKH. I have VIN = [4.5V to 5.5V] and VOUT = 1V. When I select a switching frequency of 800kHz, the cell turns red.

When I look at the conditional formating of this cell, frequency shall be: FSW < (Vout / Vinmax) * (1/minimum on time max)

But I don't see anything related to this condition in the datasheet. Could you confirm if there is a limitation on switching frequency?

    Hey Mathieu,

    What that equation is doing is checking if you are violating the minimum on time of the part.
    The minimum on time is specified in the electrical characteristics.

    The part is unable to do that step down of voltage at 800 kHz.
    You will likely have to chose a different switching frequency.
