How do I determine the junction temperature of the TI charging IC (bq24171)?
The IC data sheet includes ψ JT: 0.4°C/W. We want to calculate the junction temperature using this coefficient and the measured case temperature of the IC surface.
Since the new model carries a charging current, heat generation is a concern.
