Hi, I'm currently trying to make a BQ24600EVM work but I'm experiencing troubles with the fast charge mode.
I managed to do all the checks in the "AC ADAPTER DETECTION THRESHOLD" and "CHARGER REGULATION VOLTAGE" chapters succesfully, but I had issues when doing the "CHARGE CURRENT" procedure:
what happens when I enable LOAD #2 output at 16.5VDC is that the current drawn from VBAT clamps at 0.3A and I hear the capacitors C6,C7 buzzing loudly (I even checked with a thermal camera and I realized they were heating up quite a lot). I never managed to see to see the 3000mA charging current which is mentioned in the screenshot attached below, not even rasing LOAD #2 VBAT voltage up to 19V.
CHGEN, \PG and \STAT LEDs are lit up as expected, AC adapter operating parameters are 24V, 3.2A and thermistor channel is 1.8V, 1A, all as required by datasheet.
The only thing that differs with respect to the setup in the datasheet is that we don't have any load connect to VSYS (i.e. LOAD #1).
Can you please advise on how to fix this issue?
