For BQ79718 to BQ79735 - my customer would like to know if they can get by without the isolation transformers in the BECM. They have used isolation caps between the BPSMs on the UART lines. When they run the UART into the BECM, they have used isolation transformers between the external BPSMs and the BECM.
Do they need to use transformers for isolation or can they get by with high voltage caps?
