TPS6594-Q1: Temperature Reading

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1

For this family of PMICs I can see that there is a possibility to read thermal warning for a set of different temperatures

I was wondering if this is done by an integrated temperature sensor and if so, is it possible to read actual temperature via I2C?

if not, how do we get the warnings about exceeding 130 degrees for example?

best regards.

There is a set of tuned sensors and comparators that trigger when temperature crosses a threshold. The actual temperature can not be read via I2C.

Please note that the TWARN and TSD trigger temperatures are not exact but indicate a typical value and range. For example, when the TWARN level is set to 130 degC, the interrupt could trigger as low as 120degC and as high as 140degC. However the parts are trimmed to be close to the listed typical values.
