SBS command to ID gauge IC (bq2040)

Is there an SBS command or sequence that will permit me to identify which gauge IC I've got attached to the bus? We use a number of battery packs from different manufacturers and all have different gauges: bq2040, bq2084, bq2085 and bq20z95. I need to single out the packs with the bq2040 because they don't support BatteryMode exactly the same as the other gauges.

Most parts generally return IC part number , Firmware Version, hardware version through MAC Commands 0x0001, 0x0002, 0x0003.

That solved my problem, as every part except the bq2040 supports this query. The bq2040 Nacks the query, so I have a very deterministic means of checking when there's an gauge which meets my criteria vs does not.
