LM5160DNTFBK-CALC: Correct reference for ripple injection voltage

Part Number: LM5160DNTFBK-CALC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5160A

About newly design for LM5160A, would you let me know about calculation method for ripple injection circuit below;

①Datasheet equation is based on ripple injection voltage: 25mV, but Quick start calculator is 50mV.

 Which equation should be based?

②In my condition, when calculated based on below application note, ripple injection voltage become 17mV, which is less than 25mV.

 In this case, should I adjust to increase the ripple injection voltage?

  • Hello Satoshi-san, Please use the datasheet equation. 25mV or 50mV for that matter are conservative ripple voltages used. You will want to evaluate at your minimum Vin to see what the PWM waveform looks like on SW. If you are open to sharing those, I would be happy to review the data.
