TPS631010: About Input Overvoltage Protection

Part Number: TPS631010

I would like to ask you about the input overvoltage protection of the TPS631010.
What is the behavior of the device when overvoltage (VT+(IVP)) is applied to the input side?
What is the state of VOUT when overvoltage is applied in automatic power save mode?

Best regards,

  • Hi  Kaji,

Device will go into power save mode to avoid current flows from out to input.

Device will do nothing if power save mode is selected and may be damaged if the input voltage is out of spec.

This feature is used to avoid the device damaged in case the output voltage is higher than the set one while FPWM mode is selected.
