Hi Team,
I would like to know what is the maximum pull-down current for GD1 and GD2.
Thanks!
Regards,
Marvin

Hi Marvin,
Max gate drive currents for device is +/-25mA.

Hi Manikanta,
Can you clarify what the 0.4A Source is?, My understanding is that 25mA is when the transistor is normally driven, while the current to ground should be the pull current, and the two should be different.
Is my understanding correct?
Hi Marvin,
My apologies.
You are correct. Please see the following waveforms that verifies the max source and sink currents.

Hi Manikanta,
So 0.4A source is just a momentary rush of 300ns? This is when the MOS tube is normally driven, what if GD1 or GD2 connects the resistor to GND? Should the maximum continuous current to the ground be 0.4A? My current resistance to the ground is 126 ohms, and the continuous current is 80mA。
Hi Marvin,
The continuous current of the gate drive will depend on the VCC and the external components that's connected to the drive.
If you connect a fixed resistance at the gate driver output to the ground, then the continuous current should be VCC/(external resistance value+ on resistance of the upper mosfet of the drive).
Value of the on resistance of the upper mosfet of the drive can be found ingate drive section of the datasheet.

Hi Manikanta,
Is my understanding correct? the value of the on resistance of the upper mosfet of the drive is 4~10 Ohm? and the current of GD1 or GD2 can be obtained by dividing the actual voltage of GD1 or GD2 by the resistance connected to GND, then the actual current is about 80mA, so I would like to confirm finally that when GD1 or GD2 connects the resistance to GND, in this case, Is the maximum continuous current tolerated by GD1 or GD2 0.4A?
Hi Marvin,
I couldnt understand your question. Could you send me a webex meeting invite. We can discuss during the meeting.

Hi Manikanta,
I'm posting this question on behalf of a customer, I'll set up a meeting. Can you tell me your preferred time? is 27/04 12:00 PM CST okay with you?
Should be okay. Please send me the meeting details. Thank you.
