LM5101A: Doubling of output frequency on HO

Part Number: LM5101A

Hi all,

I am currently testing a MOSFET driver with the aim of the MOSFETS to be used in Cuk Converter for battery balancing applications.

I am feeding 2 synchronized 5kHz PWM signals from a ESP32 which are amplified before inputting to the driver.

What im confused about is my LI signal and LO signal is at the correct 5kHz ~10V PWM, but my with HI at 5kHz however my HO is 10kHz and the amplitude is approximately ~1V compared to the ~10V expected

Ive provided a schematic that i have designed for the MOSFET driver.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  • Hi Samuel,

Thank you for reaching out! Can you provide some images of the switching waveforms? Specifically, can you share waveforms of the inputs and outputs switching? Also, can you verify that you are measuring HO with respect to the switch node (differential voltage of HO-HS)? Sharing these waveforms will help the team better analyze what is causing the issue.

    Best,
