TPS63021: : Required Current 3.5A at buck and 2A at boost(Board sleep mode)

Part Number: TPS63021

Hi Team,

We are using TPS63021 buck boost regulator in our new design to generate 3.3V.

There are two optional inputs battery and 5V supply,

We require 3.3V/3.5A when input is 5v supply(need buck), also 3.3V/2A when input is connected to battery(need boost)

Is it possible with TPS63021? could you please share reference circuit?

What is the minimum voltage of battery? There is no concern about the temp, right?

Hi,

Minimum voltage is 3V , Temperature : -20 to 60

Hi Jom,

you can take the below link as ref. in Webench, the maximum output current should be smaller than 3A, but actually, it will be ok with 3.5A output in buck mode.

For thermal, it is decided your system not only ambient temp and we are not able to guarantee.
