UCD90160A: SMbus Alert Pin asserted

Hi Team ,

Facing issue of SMBus Alert Pin asserted.

Observation Seen:

1. In the Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI tool, there is no fault being logged

2. None of the rail are faulty, no over or under voltage fault seen.

3. In MFR Status rail, bit 7 Invalid logs is Set.

this issue is observed right after the board is powered, by manually giving clear faults the PIN goes back to normal state.

Please help us to resolve this issue

Hi,

Is it necessary to implement brownout circuit?

Since in UCD file we have not enabled the brownout support. It is mentioned it periodically updates the flash.

And WIthout enabling this can we able to solve the invalid log issue (any other alternative option).

We recommend to have brown out so that UCD can store the fault log.

There is no other way to avoid invalid log status.
