TPS92830-Q1: Suggestion LED driver with fault detection

Hi,

Customer SPEC is as below.

VIN=9~16V

(1) 15pcs LED (3S5P) / VF=2.8~3.3V / ILED=100mA / PWM dimming 

(2) 6pcs LED ( 2S3P) / VF=2.6~2.95V / ILED=100mA 

It is needed fault detection for LED open / short

Is TPS92830 suitable for this application?  Do you have any better suggestion for it?

    Hi David, 

    Due to newer production processes and higher availability I would recommend the new LBC9 family of devices. 

    TPS9262X-Q1 Family would be the way to go. Depending on how many individual channels and maximum current you need, different devices of this family will be appropriate. I would take a look at the TPS92621-Q1 as a starting point.
