BQ24610: Inquiry about BQ25610 and JEITA Function Support

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the BQ25610 battery charger from Texas Instruments and its compatibility with the JEITA charging profile.

Would you please confirm whether the BQ25610 supports the JEITA charging profile? If it does not, is it possible to design an additional circuit to implement this charging profile with the BQ25610 charger?

    The BQ24610 does not support the JEITA charging profile, just hot and cold temperatures. We recommend BQ24616 for that.

    If you wanted to design a circuit to model the JEITA charging profile, you would have to create two circuits. First, one that changes the ISET1 and ISET2 voltages based on battery temperature. Second, one that changes the VFB divider to change the charge voltage regulation based on temperature. I think that these circuits add extra BOM and control, and it would be easier just to use the BQ24616.
