    Good afternoon David,

    Thank you for reaching out to us. The moving average time depends on the digital low-pass filter setting. The LPF can be configured to different cutoff frequencies depending on your needs. Please refer to the Post-ADC Digital LPF section within the BQ79616 datasheet.
