BQ28Z610EVM-532: bq28z610evm and bq24725evm

The latest firmware version of  bq28z610 can send broadcasts on the bus that can theoretically allow the charger and gauge to operate autonomously. Normally a host system that can understand these broadcasts controls the charger. See TRM section 4.11 BROADCAST Mode

The charger must be capable of using these broadcasts though. The charger team can comment on whether bq24725 is a good choice.

While I am waiting confirmation from TI charger team on bq24725 of using the broadcasts from bq28z610.

Thanks for the info. I followed the linked you sent me to down load the firmware of bq28z610, but not sure which FW version to down load ( stable, beta, etc.).

I down load bq28z610R2 FW bundle -2.00 which contain no execute application file in the folder ? See below . Please advise. Thanks.

I am now using bq24196EVM charger I2C controlled and trying to run charge/discharge battery cycles though bq28610EVM gauge broadcast mode which had the firmware SREC file. But I do not see [BCAST] in order to set and to broadcast charging voltage/ current to charger. Please advise.

Thanks for the link to install SW. Going through the EVM setup and having no issue. But when I try to run as Autonomous Battery Charging cycles with battery charging enabled at POR (REG01[5:4] = 01), the bq24196  not running charging cycle without host (GUI). Can I be able to run Autonomous Battery Charging cycles ? Please advise.
