LM5025C: LM5025 vs LM5025C

Part Number: LM5025C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5025

Hi everyone,

I make a DCDC Buck converter with this schematic to  provide, with input 48V, and exit of 24V.

With the LM5025, the converter starts to supply 24V at an input of 36V. This is why I think to change for a LM5025C, with a duty cycle of 91%.

When I change the IC, the converter don´t fix the output voltage in 24V. I get the 24 volts at an input of 27V, but when I increase the input, the output increase.

I have the next measures, 27V in blue and 30V in red.

Can you help me?

  • Hi,

If increase Vin, Vout follows to increase, it looks like your feedback loop does not work properly. When Vout increase LM5025C COMP should be pulled down until the duty cycle changed to make regulation. You need to check your feedback loop work to see where there is something wrong to prevent LM5025C COMP voltage reduction.
