TPS7A84: VFB accuracy

Part Number: TPS7A84
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV767

Hi,

Could you help share the accuracy of the feedback voltage? Thanks.

Zach

  • Hi Zach,

The Feedback voltage is tied to the internal error amplifier. This is an input pin to the device, so the actual voltage found on it is dependent upon the system that it is within. There is not a drive force forcing a voltage at that pin. However the expected value is 0.8 as the device tries to regulate the FB voltage to 0.8V based upon it's regulation. To estimate the accuracy of this value you can utilize the  output accuracy as an approximation of what the device will force the FB pin to regulate to.

  • John,

Thank you, I think I need to ask my question in another way.

What the accuracy of the internal reference? Below is example from TLV767.

  • HI Zach,

Yes this was kinda what I was getting at with using the VOUT accuracy to approximate the reference accuracy. We do not spec an internal accuracy spec for this device as you've seen, but it's accuracy is built into the VOUT accuracy measurement that we do spec. Line and load regulation are also built into this measurement alongside temperature operation.
