BQ25628: VSYS

Part Number: BQ25628

1) When Adapter is present, does the charging voltage appear at the SYS terminal during charging and does the adapter voltage output to the SYS terminal when not charging?

2) Events that cause a reduction in charging current also cause the charging safety timer to count at half-clock rate if TMR2X_EN bit is set.
How does the timer operate from the point at which the event causing the charge current to decrease is resolved?

Kagawa

  • Hi Kagawa-san,

    Please see my comments below.

    1) Adapter input will provide power to SYS terminal during charge and when not charging. If you wish to turn off converter so adapter does not power SYS set EN_HIZ = 1. More information on HIZ mode can be found in section 9.3.4.3 of the BQ25628 datasheet.

    2) When event that caused timer to count at half clock rate is resolved the timer will return to count at normal rate.

    Best Regards,

    Garrett
