Hi Dear,
Our Customer is using LM5012 for simulation, and the results show that the power consumption on the output Schottky diode is 1.37W, as shown in the figure
How is 1.37W calculated?

Hi Anna,
The power loss of diode is Ploss_D=Vd*Io*(1-D). Vd is the diode conduction voltage. Io is output current. D is duty cycle. Hope this can help you. Thanks.
Aurora.
Hi Aurora,
From the simulation results, it can be seen that the power consumption of the diode is relatively high. If we want to reduce the power consumption of the diode, are there any other improvement methods? Can we parallel connect another diode of the same specification
Hi Anna,
It is recommended to choose a diode with a smaller turn-on voltage, or increase the duty cycle. Thanks.
Aurora
Hi Dears,
Thank you. I will communicate with customer again to obtain more details ,and then provide feedback to you. Thank you
Hi,
