Hi team,

My Customer uses TPS259474 on their Fan product. When power-off test will have a negative current. but remove C15/C16 from TPS25947EVM.

The negative current will disappear. so the customer wants to know impact or not if remove C15/C16. thx

Hi Jimmy,

Reverse current is C*dv/dt. So when CIN reduces reverse current amount reduces. We recommend small cap like C15/C16 for decoupling purpose.

But customers do not allow any reverse current in their product. As you know TPS259474 can block reverse current. why still occur this current?

Hi Jimmy,

TPS25947 offers zero DC current. So transient reverse current can be there but it will die down in some time.
