BQ25896: Does BQ25896 support to hot plugin of battery pack?

Dear Ti support team.

I made a battery charger system by BQ25896. Does BQ25896 support to hot plugin of battery pack when dc power is suppleid ?

The battery pack is having +,TH,-.And single cell.

Battery connector doesn't have sequence pin. So, 3 Pins is same length.

    Hello, 

    Thank you for reaching out via E2E. Unfortunately, there is not a straightforward answer on this. The BAT pin is rated for 6V. Care must be taken to ensure good transient characteristics (< 6V) during the hot plugin event. If hot plugin with your specific battery pack does not result in transient spikes of 6V then it should be no problem for BQ25896.
