BQ34Z100EVM: BQstudio does not detect the board after I programmed it

Manually select the bq34z1100 and then try programming the firmware again

On the advanced comm tab, try to read 2 bytes at register address 0x00.

Try with I2C address 0xAA and 0x16 respectively and let me know if there is a response at any of these I2C addresses.

Since you are applying 4V (single cell) , make sure that the jumper settings are correct per user guide for single cell operation.

I think the check with Advanced comm was not correct

Case1:  I2C address=AA  Start register=00 Read 2 bytes

Case2:  I2C address=16  Start register=00 Read 2 bytes

See if any of these cases give a response

It looks like the gauge may not be powered or it is damaged somehow. Check REGIN and the REG25 to see if they are nominal.

I just tested it with a 4V power supply and REGIN was 4V while REG25 was 3.75. (i thought REG25 was supposed to be 2.5V?)

If the device does not respond at all to any I2C address, then it is bricked. I assume you have already checked jumpers and connections,
