TPS92310-23FB: Modify the system to accept 24VAC as input voltage source

I would like to know if its possible to change the input voltage source from Mains voltage to 24VAC voltage source by Changning the relevant components? Are there any application notes that could help us with this? Target is 24VAC to isolated 5VDC converter.

Hi Adnan,

Could you tell me what your end equipment is? Why you need an AC/DC here? Currently the LED team are focusing on DC/DC or linear devices and may have some solutions that may fit your application.

Hey Steven,

Thanks for the response. My application is to convert the 24VAC available on the thermostat to an isolated 5VDC output so that I could use that to power the device.

Hi Steven, I understand that it is designed for regulating LED. My device is an occupancy sensor that needs to be powered by a 24VAC as an input source. Are there any reference designs that deals with isolated 24VAC to 5VDC?
