TPS92515HV-Q1: some questions about calculator excel

Hi team,

For calculator excel, I have some questions maybe need your help, thanks!

  • For ΔILED-pk-pk, how should I input? Typically select 45%*Iout?

  • What is the meaning of Ilpk-pk%? How to input?

  • For Coff, it should be customer input not calculator output, right? If it's customer input, how to input? Select one value between 100pF to 1nF, right?

Last I have some question about datasheet.

  • Is the control logic of TPS92515HC constant OFF-time? The inductor ripple is constant at any condition of different input and output voltage, right?

  • Why we need differ different Vled in the equation of ILed? How to understand ' A VLED > 10 V ensures a linear charging ramp below 1 V' in the datasheet?

    1. This is load request; Need to check load spec if there is requirement. For device itself, it works without output capacitor. 

    2. Inductor ripple current, generally 10-40% etc. 

     

    3, That is calculation result. You may adjust Fsw and Roff value to get target capacitor. 

    4. equ.(5) is accurate formula for the calculation. When VLED is much higher than 1V(which is OFF-time threshold), Vcoff voltage can be considered almost linear and can simplify the calculation equation.
