Hi,

I believe from the question about "TPS38700: Internal oscillator" the TPS38700 required a Xtal to use the sequencer?

Is it possible to know the the default value of the register 0x24 Oscillator configuration.

Bit 7: XTAL_LOAD Crystal oscillator load capacitance
Bit 6: XTAL_EN Crystal oscillator enable
Bit 4: 4 PP_CLK32K CLK32K pin driver configuration

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the response. That means if we purchased the part for evaluation the Xtal would be disabled as this is loaded from NVM.

Above I also asked a question indirectly. Does the sequencer require the Xtal?

It seems there are a bunch of registers that cannot be set via I2C accesses and need to be loaded from NVM. Would you know if there is a different part that would allow us more control over the register settings?

Hi Andrew,

I had a follow up question. The value of register 0x24 on the TPS38700Q1 EVM is 0xC0.

Would this be the difference between parts TPS38700C03NRGERQ1 and TPS38700C03ARGERQ1?
