TPS2663: downloaded Pspice for TI transient analysis and is throwing errors even though the Parts are TI parts

Part Number: TPS2663
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD19537Q3

Hi guys,

I want to use the TPS2663 circuit in pspice to verify one of my designs.  I started by downloading the pspice zip file from TI.com because it was not in the TI parts library.  I am using pspice for TI.  When I run the simulation, I get this error.

It seems like there are markers already placed inherent to the simulation, but cannot be accessed because the parts are not "TI parts".  As I understand it, The TPS2663 and CSD19537Q3 are TI parts and should not be limited to this constraint, but because I manually imported them they are flagged as NON TI parts.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi Patrick,

How many markers are there? Can you change no of markers between 1 and 3?

    Regards

    Kunal Goel

  • I Kunal, I can change the markers between 1 and 3.  This constraint should not be put on these parts because TI makes these parts right?  Just curious why are these parts not in the TI library inherent to when you download pspice for TI?

  • Hi Patrick,

I am checking on this. I will get this added to Pspice for TI.

    Regards

    Kunal Goel

  • I just tried redownloading the model from TI.com and tried to run the sim in pspice for TI and ran into the same issue.  Here is the error message I get

I also tried searching for the parts in the TI library and could not find them, were they updated yet?

If they were do I need to manually update the TI library in pspice for TI?

  • Hi Patrick,

Let me follow up with team on this and get back.

    Regards

    Kunal Goel

  • Great thanks Kunal

  • Hi Patrick,

Can you update your libraries and check if it shows up in PSpice for TI?

    Regards

    Kunal Goel

  • I updated and had 8 new parts added.  Don't think they were the MOSFET or the IC were one of the 8

  • Hi Patrick,

We are working with model team figuring out what went wrong here.  to double check can you expand the folder and navigate to efuse section and see if you find in the list?

    Regards

    Kunal Goel

  • Hi Patrick,

    What's your library version?
