Hi.
We have ordered 3 eval boards.
I am soft dev, the hardware engineer started working on the boards without me.
Status is the following:
Board 1:
he was able to boot the board with 40V, connect fusion, change some settings.
Unfortunately, he sent an erase command of the flash (we wanted to restore original settings...).
Now we are unable to connect to the board (no scan works, we tried ROM or the 3 Programs Mode of UCD GUI)
We plan to replace the UCD. Do you see any other thing to try before doing that ?
Board 2 & 3:
We booted them together. Nothing works. Power led is ON. The status leds remain OFF.
If I run UCD GUI, power on the target,
- scan Device in ROM Mode => OK
- command ROM to execute its program => OK
- But GUI displays "No devices found"
- scan Device in ROM Mode => NOK (I have to reboot the board to return to ROM Mode)
My feeling, on those boards coming out of the box
- Bad or no checksum, so the board remains in ROM Mode
- The firm is bad and hangs when launched.
- or hardware issue
As the ROM Mode works, I tried to download
- The original firm that I tried to rebuild myself. Not sure of the generated file as it is not easy to rebuild it with last version of CCS and last version of compiler => NOK. Scan device fails
- A minimal firmware with only the PMBUS functions => NOK. The board seems to remain in rom mode. (or to come back automatically in rom mode)
I noticed that the 3 boards must come from differents production batches (marking stickers are not the same)
Board 1 : square sticker , num 1135283
Board 2, 3 : rectangle stickers , num 5538000073, 5538000071
Could you:
- give me advices on board 1
- provide me official .X0 file for UCD3138HSFBEVM-029
- provide me a basic project for UCD3138HSFBEVM-029 working with latest CCS and compiler version (PMBUS + blinking led for example.)
