TPS54A20: Efficiency when driven at frequencies other than 4MHz

You are right, the efficiency at 7MHz and 10 MHz will be lower than at 4 MHz.
But applying VG+ will definitely improve the efficiency in all cases.

I could not find the efficiency data, but you can use the WeBench tool to estimate the efficiency (Only available for 4 and 7 MHz):

Here is how to set the frequency by Rss/fsel:

Please note that the frequencies mentioned in these table are per phase, so the overall frequency is multiplied by 2.

You can run at 6.8MHz or 9.MHz, only if you override the internal frequency by connecting an external clock to the SYNC pin.

Hi,

These resistor values are not having a linear or simple equation relationship with the switching frequency.
The resistor values are getting compared to defined values in the table using analog comparators and offer a digital yes or no result.
Then the internal logic sets the configuration accordingly.
