POWERSTAGE-DESIGNER: Calculate the shim indutor for a Phase Shifted Full Bridge Converter

Part Number: POWERSTAGE-DESIGNER
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28950

Hello,

I am trying to understand the sizing of the shim inductor for the PSFB.

I'm trying to use the note Application "SLUA107A".

I understand that there are 2 conditions for applying the ZVS:
1) Energy of the shim inductor > Energy of the FET capacitor + Trannsformer.
2) In relation to the Tmax and the resonant frequency.

What does Tmax correspond to? Does it correspond to the rise time of a transistor (Tdr), the rise time (Tr), or something else?

Can you shed some light on the subject? And how do you dimension the shim inductance on POWER STAGE DESIGNER?

Best regards,
