BQ79600-Q1: multidrop communication for SPI with BQ79600

Part Number: BQ79600-Q1

Hello, Helen,

Could you help provide connection schematic and recommended tri-state buffer part number for BQ79600 for multidrop application (MISO)?

I can’t find it in EVM documents and datasheet.

Always appreciate and best regards!

  • Hi Xiaohu,

We do not currently have a recommended tri-state buffer to support multidrop applications.  That being said, the BQ79600 can support either 5V or 3.3V on VIO for SPI communication, so selecting a tri-state buffer suitable for your desired logic level is important.

    Best,

    Andria

  • Hello, Andria,

Could you provide schematic or connection sample for multidrop application by tri-state buffer, there is no document for reference.

    thanks and best regards!

  • Hi Xiaohu,

We do not currently have a schematic or reference sample for a multidrop application using a tri-state buffer.  The customer can determine a configuration that best fits their application and needs based on their desired logic level and peripheral devices.

Additionally, I recommend speaking with the TI product line in charge of buffers and transceivers.  I will add a link to TI's noninverting buffers: Noninverting buffers & drivers | TI.com, and I will reassign this thread.

    Best,

    Andria
